League of Legends Worlds 2026: Series Prices vs. the Championship
League of Legends Worlds 2026 is in the knockout bracket. Quarterfinals start Tuesday, November 3. Every knockout series is a best of five. The final is Saturday, November 14, at 2 p.m. Eastern, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. A contract on that final, a contract on Wednesday’s series, and a contract on one game inside the series are three different bets.
Kalshi View’s snapshot at 16:02 UTC on November 1 listed Gen.G at 46 percent to win Worlds. That is a tournament-winner price. It is not the price of Gen.G versus LYON, and it is not a map winner. Dota series markets were among Polymarket’s heaviest boards the same day. The reading problem is the same in both games: the scoreboard on screen is often one game, while the contract is the series or the trophy.
Where the tournament actually is
LoL Esports divides Worlds 2026 into a play-in on October 15–18, a Swiss stage on October 23–31, and a knockout stage on November 3–14. Swiss is over. The published quarterfinals are:
- Tuesday, November 3: Top Esports versus Invictus Gaming
- Wednesday, November 4: Gen.G versus LYON
- Thursday, November 5: Dplus KIA versus Bilibili Gaming
- Friday, November 6: T1 versus Karmine Corp
Semifinals are November 7 and November 8. The final is November 14. Quarterfinals and semifinals in the official primer were listed at 4 p.m. Central. Start times have already been adjusted once this tournament, so use the live LoL Esports schedule before treating a clock as part of the contract.
Game, series, and trophy
A game contract ends when that map ends. First blood, a dragon, or a 20-minute lead can matter to a viewer and still be irrelevant if the contract only asks who wins the game. Side selection, patches, and a substitute change the game. They do not change a champion contract unless the team exits the tournament.
A best-of-five ends when one team wins three games. The series can finish 3–0, 3–1, or 3–2. A team can drop the opening game and still win the series contract. Anyone who has read a baseball series price has seen this shape. Baseball used best-of-five and best-of-seven. Worlds knockouts are best-of-five, and the earlier Swiss rounds mixed best-of-one with best-of-three. The length is part of the question.
A Worlds champion contract pays only if that team wins the tournament. Gen.G at 46 cents, in the November 1 snapshot, was the market’s price on the Summoner’s Cup, with the semifinals and the Brooklyn final still ahead. Beating LYON would keep that contract alive. It would not pay it. Losing to LYON would make it worthless even if Gen.G won the first two games of the series.
Why the favorite’s series price should be higher than 46
It should, if both prices are about the same team and the championship requires more wins. Gen.G must win the quarterfinal and then two more series. A quarterfinal price that is not clearly above the title price is a warning to check which contract you are looking at, not a puzzle about the team. Different books, stale last trades, and a wide spread can also produce a screen that looks inconsistent for a few minutes. Compare executable asks, not two headline percentages taken an hour apart.
The spread matters more on the series board than on the season-long future, because a best-of-five can move several games in one night. Thin game-level books were visible in other esports markets this week. The mechanics are covered in liquidity, spread, and slippage.
What the rule still has to say
- Forfeit, pause, and remake. A game that is remade is not automatically the same event as the game that started. The contract should say which result counts.
- Schedule changes. Worlds has already moved broadcast times. A contract tied to a calendar date can disagree with a contract tied to “the quarterfinal series.”
- The official source. LoL Esports is the natural source. A stats site or a clip is not, unless the rule names it.
- Map handicap versus match winner. A 1.5-map line can pay when the match-winner contract loses, because a 3–2 series and a 3–0 series are different results.
Those checks are the same settlement habit as any other venue: the wording pays, the broadcast does not. See settlement rules.
A short checklist for November 3
- Say whether the screenshot is one game, the series, or the tournament.
- Match the teams to the quarterfinal list above, then to the live schedule.
- Confirm best of one, best of three, or best of five. Swiss and knockouts did not use the same length.
- Read forfeits, remakes, and the named result source.
- Use the ask for the quantity you mean. A 46 percent championship label is a snapshot from November 1, not a live quote and not a pick.
Frequently asked questions
When are the Worlds 2026 knockouts? LoL Esports lists quarterfinals from November 3 through November 6, semifinals on November 7 and 8, and the final on November 14 at 2 p.m. Eastern at Barclays Center. Knockout series are best of five.
Does a series win pay a Worlds champion contract? No. The series contract ends with that best of five. The champion contract requires winning the tournament, including the November 14 final.
Who does Gen.G play first? The published bracket sends Gen.G against LYON on Wednesday, November 4. That series is not the championship.
How is a single game different from a best of five? A game contract ends with that game. A best of five ends when one team reaches three wins. A team can lose game one and still win the series.

Dates, series length, venues, and the quarterfinal pairings were checked against the LoL Esports Worlds 2026 primer, the updated start times, and the LoL Esports schedule. The Gen.G championship price is from Kalshi View’s November 1, 16:02 UTC snapshot. It is not a recommendation and it is not a series price.
